YOUR CHALLENGES
- Operation and further development of our container platform
You’ll take full ownership of our Kubernetes cluster – from configuration and maintenance of master and worker nodes to continuously evolving the platform. - Kubernetes infrastructure under your responsibility
You’ll be responsible for setting up and maintaining the etcd database, network components (CNI plugins), and potentially a service mesh, ensuring a reliable cluster architecture. - Container runtimes under control
Whether Docker or Containerd – you’ll ensure the smooth operation of our container runtime environment. - Stable SaaS deployments – with your support
You’ll manage tenant separation via RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), oversee namespace management, monitor the cluster, and scale the environment efficiently to keep our SaaS offering high-performing at all times. - Effective automation
You’ll contribute to our CI/CD pipelines and help us roll out new versions of our EPIM Universe applications quickly and reliably. - Forward-thinking updates
You’ll plan regular updates to the Kubernetes stack in a way that ensures continuous availability and operations – for example, via rolling upgrades. - Reliable backup & recovery
You’ll implement backup and recovery strategies (e.g., etcd backups) and ensure resource-efficient usage within the pods.
STAND OUT WITH THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Solid professional experience in infrastructure
You have at least 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience, ideally in container infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud-native environments. - Container technologies? You’ve mastered them.
You bring in-depth knowledge of Docker and Containerd and are very familiar with modern container orchestration using Kubernetes. - Hands-on Kubernetes experience
You’ve operated Kubernetes clusters in production, are skilled in deployment troubleshooting, and work confidently with tools like Kubectl, Kustomize, or Helm. - Cloud-native is your home turf
You’re familiar with the cloud-native ecosystem: monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana are no strangers to you, and you know how logging works in Kubernetes using Fluentd or the Elastic Stack. - Linux and networking under control
You have solid knowledge of Linux system administration and are comfortable with Kubernetes-related networking topics, especially service discovery and container networking. - CI/CD? That’s your thing.
You’re experienced with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Ansible and know how to design modern deployment processes efficiently. - Clear communication – technically and linguistically
You’re proficient in English (and German), written and spoken – you’ll use both regularly in our international environment.
