Berlin, 8 April 2026. Viamedici announced it has been positioned as a Niche Player in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Master Data Management Solutions.

The recognition comes at a defining moment for enterprise data management. According to the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Master Data Management Solutions, “organizations face a fragmented data landscape that is fraught with quality issues. Navigating these challenges is becoming even more complicated as adoption of AI increases and the pace of data generation accelerates.”

The Sovereignty Imperative

Data sovereignty has moved from the IT backroom to the boardroom. With GDPR and NIS2 enforcement tightening and the EU Data Act in effect since September 2025, the regulatory stakes have never been higher. The structural dependency is stark: according to Synergy Research Group, European cloud providers hold only around 15% of their home market, with Amazon, Microsoft, and Google alone accounting for 70%, and according to the French digital industry association, American companies account for 80% of the EU’s annual professional cloud computing expenditure. For enterprises relying solely on hyperscaler infrastructure, this means data can remain subject to foreign jurisdictional reach regardless of where it physically resides.

Viamedici’s approach is fundamentally different: the platform is fully cloud-agnostic, giving organizations the freedom to deploy on AWS or Microsoft Azure, on-premises infrastructure, or Viamedici’s own managed private cloud. This flexibility means enterprises are never locked into a single provider, and those with strict data residency requirements can choose a deployment model that puts legal and operational control squarely in their own hands.

Security is built into the platform architecture, aligned with container security standards, zero-trust access principles, and Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) transparency, giving regulated industries in manufacturing, healthcare, and retail the technical assurance to meet compliance obligations without sacrificing operational agility.

From Pipeline Sprawl to Golden Records

Beyond sovereignty, Viamedici addresses a structural cost problem endemic to modern enterprises. Most large organizations today manage 18 to 25 core business applications, each maintaining its own version of critical master data. The result is pipeline sprawl, where different business units run redundant ETL processes, store duplicate records across CRM, ERP, data lakes, and analytics warehouses, and rebuild the same transformation logic in isolation.

Viamedici EPIM/5 resolves this at the source. By unifying PIM, digital asset management, and product configuration on a single platform, Viamedici creates a “golden record”, a single authoritative version of product, customer, and asset data that is governed, deduplicated, and distributed once, eliminating the need for downstream systems to rebuild their own version. The result is measurably lower storage and compute costs, faster analytics, and a trusted data foundation ready to serve AI workloads without the risk of contaminated training data.

“We aim to help enterprises build trusted, unified data foundations,” said Jürgen Müller, CEO at Viamedici. “From manufacturers managing complex product portfolios to healthcare organizations requiring the highest levels of data precision, our customers rely on Viamedici to reduce complexity, strengthen governance, and provide the reliable master data backbone that modern operations and AI require.”
