What’s New in EPIM/5 Update 5

In this webinar recording, Michael Bauer and Sebastian Bold from Viamedici present the new features of EPIM/5 Update 5. The focus is on AI features, custom tabs and numerous improvements based on customer feedback. The webinar is aimed at users and administrators of EPIM as well as anyone interested in it.

The recording walks you through all changes directly in the system. With Data Expert, you ask questions about your product data directly in a chat, EPIM converts units of measure with AI, and all text content is translated with AI. Custom tabs display your own content directly on the object and can be configured based on metadata via JSON Schema. You create dictionary groups directly in the data attribute dialog, the data export no longer limits the number of entries, the Attributes tab shows revised change information, and data tables display icons for data types. Data Onboarding guides you through the import with an onboarding tour, upload settings and a confirmation dialog. For integrations, the Event Hub publishes object events in real time, the Universal API lets you create asset relations and control inheritance, and the Hazelcast cache is updated incrementally. To close, Michael Bauer gives an outlook on EPIM/5 Update 6 and Update 7, planned for 2027 Q1 and 2027 Q2.

The update offers five key benefits:

  • Answers to questions about your product data with Data Expert
  • Your own content directly on the object via custom tabs
  • Faster maintenance through improvements based on customer feedback
  • Easier data import with the revised Data Onboarding
  • Connected systems kept in sync via real-time events and the Universal API
